ADVOCATING FOR BUSINESSES

The Chamber is looking forward to taking part in the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s Advocacy Series next week, which provides us an opportunity to speak on issues that matter to our local business community with both elected and non-elected officials. We will be speaking with several government ministers and junior ministers.  We will have time to raise the issues facing our area and discuss possible solutions.

The Chamber of Commerce is an indispensable partner of business, and as it is our job to represent our members to the best degree possible, we are committed to increasing our advocacy role, at all levels of government.

SOUTH GREY HOME & GARDEN SHOW

The Chamber is excited to be bringing back the Grey Highlands Home & Garden show this year on April 29 & 30th at the Flesherton Arena. We are busy planning a fun event for the whole family, from seminars to children’s activities and much more. Plus, you’ll find all the local experts for your home and yard under one roof for your next project.

The Chamber is currently accepting vendor applications, so please contact us if you are interested in receiving our exhibitor package for this exciting event. 

Grey Highlands Job Fair

We had a great turn out at the Job Fair last Wednesday despite the local weather, which thankfully held off until we were packing up to leave.  There were 20 vendors with over 300 jobs available and approx. 560 attendees looking for jobs which included students and general public job seekers.  There are 2 more job fairs scheduled in Grey County, March 1 in Owen Sound and March 2 in Meaford.  For more information you can go to www.southgreychamberofcommerce.ca/events.
